A clavicle fracture is a common shoulder injury in contact and collision sports, like football, but you can suffer this injury falling on your shoulder too. They are painful injuries that take a long time to heal.

Most people know right away that they have suffered a serious shoulder injury. Often you can see the bone poking up under the skin. X-rays can easily show the extent of the injury and help orthopedic surgeons decide the course of treatment.
