Make sure your son or daughter’s team has an athletic trainer

Sudden deaths and catastrophic injuries in sports are devastating events. Some of these cannot be prevented no matter how much we want to. We can save many young athletes, though, with quick, appropriate action.

What is one of the best ways to ensure that the correct steps are taken in those critical moments? Make sure that there is an athletic trainer present at practices and games.

Athletic trainers are qualified healthcare professionals. They are critical to schools and sports teams for a huge number of reasons.
