214. Vast majority of millennial men worry about their appearance

A surprisingly high percentage of men are insecure about their appearance, according to a survey of 2,000 adult men conducted by OnePoll with L’Oreal Paris. The researchers found that on average, men feel insecure about their looks three times a week. The most common worries were gray hair – which half of the men surveyed had – their weight, and how their eyes look. But the age of the men mattered. Almost 90 percent of millennial men worry about looking as young as other men in their age range. Over three-quarters of millennial men feel self-conscious about their appearance. The researchers did find that one thing helps men with insecurity over their appearance – compliments. 61 percent of the men surveyed said that receiving compliments helps them feel more confident.
