A study recently published in the Journal of Hospital Infection shows that non-alcohol hand sanitizers can kill the virus in 15 seconds or less. Without alcohol to kill the virus, these hand sanitizers use benzalkonium chloride. So if you have sensitive skin, look for hand sanitizers with that compound. And these alcohol-free products for cleaning household surfaces are becoming more common.
