While early trials of several COVID-19 vaccines have shown promising results, one aspect of the trials seems pretty clear. Whenever a vaccine is available, getting it will likely cause you some side effects, like a headache, sore arm, fatigue, chills, or fever. This finding isn’t a surprise, as we see it with other currently used vaccines, like tetanus and shingles. Most people, fortunately, are willing to get a vaccine that causes short-term symptoms if they are concerned with catching a disease. With COVID-19, most people will accept that risk for the potential benefit of avoiding the virus.
