In another sign that life is returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, the country’s biggest movie theater chains have dropped their mask requirements. Regal, Cinemark, and AMC Theaters all announced last week that moviegoers will not have to wear a mask at all during their visits. Previously, viewers had to wear a mask at all times in the theater and were only allowed to remove them while eating. As the blockbuster movies are released in the coming weeks, expect huge box office numbers. According to a survey conducted by Fandango, 83 percent of people say they are comfortable returning to movie theaters.
