Hi there! I’m so honored you are interested in me speaking at your event. I know it’s a tough decision to hire a speaker, and my goal on this page is to give you all the information you need to make the best decision. Whether you’re a business or healthcare organization, I’d love to see if there’s a way for me to help amplify the great work you’re doing.

I understand the challenge of finding just the right speaker. In my prior role as the Director of Sports Medicine at an academic medical center, I organized an annual sports medicine conference. I know the challenge of finding a speaker who can educate, enlighten and entertain your audience.

David Geier is a truly terrific professional and public speaker. He has spoken at our conferences several times. He gets great reviews. People love his talks, and he has terrific presence and is a great public speaker.

About Me

As an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine expert and author of That’s Gotta Hurt: The Injuries That Changed Sports Forever, I treat athletes from the professional to youth levels. My online and social media platform focused on staying healthy and performing your best is one of the largest of any orthopedic surgeon in the world. Through stories of elite athletes overcoming injuries and enormous odds to excel at the highest levels of sports, I inspire your audience members to become the leaders and champions they are meant to be, no matter what obstacles stand in their way.

My Speaking Topics

Despite over a decade of experience as an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, I speak on topics related to leadership, excellence, adversity, change, and communication. In fact, I use my medical experience to inspire and teach both healthcare and corporate audiences.

I will customize my presentation to meet your organization’s specific needs. My goal is to facilitate the outcome you want to create. Please understand that I can present these topics as keynote speeches or workshops. Also, I can deliver half-day, and in some cases, full-day seminar versions.

    • The Leader In You: What You Can Learn From the World’s Best Athletes and Coaches
Whether or not your job title reflects a leadership position, you are meant to be a leader. In fact, your businesses, co-workers, and patients need you to step up and lead. Even if you aren’t an athlete, you can emulate some of the best athletes and coaches of all time to lead your organization to success.
    • The Mindset of Champions: Skills from the World’s Best Athletes, Coaches and Trainers You Can Use To Reach the Top (and Stay There)
In every sport, an extremely small percentage of the athletes go on to be the best. What makes them different than all of the others? These three traits aren’t just critical on the court or field. They can help you achieve personal excellence in your work and life.
    • From the Training Room to the Operating Room: Overcoming Adversity and Embracing Change in Sports and Business
Change is coming fast. Businesses today face threats from all directions. If you aren’t prepared for setbacks and change and respond quickly, you could get passed by new competitors. Using stories of elite athletes who faced and overcame heartbreaking injuries, I show you how you can prepare yourself to succeed despite any adversity.
    • Avoiding Burnout: The HEALTHY Game Plan for Corporations and Employees
Your employees are working harder than ever to help the business succeed. That workload, though, can take a tremendous toll on their productivity in the long run. Learn simple strategies everyone can use to survive and thrive in today’s corporate climate.
    • Grow Your Practice, Your Patients and Your Presence: 3 Critical Tools For Online (and Offline!) Communication
Every healthcare professional must be able to communicate to the public. Rather than wasting time deciding whether you should tweet or share photos on Instagram, I explain the three critical tools you must understand and implement if you want to reach your desired audience and make an impact.
Each of these topics can be personalized for any healthcare or business audience to deliver the experience and outcomes you desire. I look forward to talking further about your upcoming event and tailoring a topic to fit your audience and their educational needs.
